Utilities
Utilities are urban objects that form critical infrastructures, needed for maintaining the essential support for sustaining the standard of living.
Description
Utilities in an urban context are formed by facilities for:
- Drinking water
- Waste water
- Electricity
- Fuel
- Gas
- Telecommunication
- Financial services
- Security services
- Public health, government services (now: public services and facilities)
- Transportation (now: separate category)
Within Urban Securipedia, we focus on water, waste and energy utilities, with transportation networks described under a unique category of urban object.
